ELECT/EFI PROGRAM

ELECT/ EFI (ELECT Fatherhood Initiative) is a School District of Philadelphia (SDP) program. The SDP contracts with Communities In Schools of Philadelphia (CISP) to provide year-round individual and group services to pregnant and/or parenting students within participating schools to ensure that they graduate; transition into post high school opportunities; and learn skills to become productive parents and citizens.

HEALTH RESOURCE CENTER

In collaboration with AccessMatters, the Health Resource Center program provides high school age students with education and information around abstinence, reproductive health and good decision-making. A certified health educator offers students education that stresses the fact that abstinence is 100% effective in preventing unintended pregnancy, HIV and STD. The center offers students individual level counseling that answers their questions, and provides them with tools to prevent negative health outcomes.
